From the relatively new Moon Mountain AVA in Sonoma, there are 200 cases of this dark ruby/purple 2013 Zinfandel Nun's Canyon Vineyard (100% Zin). This comes from 80-year-old vines, and once again, Cohn's elevage consisted of 16 months in a mixture of barrel sizes and cooperage, but no new oak. Briary, almost-Provencal red and black fruits jump from the glass of this spicy, zesty, boisterous and lovely Zinfandel. Loaded with kirsch, strawberry and blacker fruit notes, this wine is full-bodied, opulent, and just an exotic, seductive, big mouthful of juicy Zinfandel. Drink it over the next 5-7 years
