The 2005 Barolo is a good choice for near-term drinking. Medium in body, this floral Barolo offers good length and balance, even if the tannins could use a touch more polish. The wine needs some time in a decanter for some of the green, herbal elements to recede a bit, although they always remain a component in the aromatic and flavor profile. Early signs of advancement are present, suggesting this is wine to enjoy early. 2010-2017.
This is a very pretty set of wines from Molino, a small, artisan producer based in La Morra who continues to make better and better wines with each passing vintage.
