With fruit from La Morra, the 2011 Barolo Bricco Luciani is a mild, thinly textured wine with a delicate offering of wild berry and floral aromas. Rose hip and lavender bud lift from the bouquet with tar, licorice, smoke and dried spice. Only 4,533 bottles were made.

Intense aromas and flavors of juniper, eucalyptus, licorice, cherry and tar course through this dense, sinewy red. Firms up in the end, yet remains balanced, with sweet fruit, licorice notes and mineral elements on the finish.
