This wine opens to a light and lean appearance. The 2014 Barolo Bricco Luciani (with fruit from La Morra) is apparently a more mineral-driven wine with a loose, silky texture. The finish is very dry and a bit short. Crushed stone frames a core of wild berry aromas. The effect is perhaps less formal, but it definitely works, especially if you are looking for an immediate or near-term Barolo. Only 4,442 bottles were produced.

This is polished, with scents of vanilla and toasty oak introducing flavors of cherry, plum, licorice and tar. Rich and complex, showing finesse on the mouthwatering aftertaste. Best from 2021 through 2043. 300 cases made, 100 cases imported.??–BS??Region: Italy / Piedmont / Barolo Select to Add
