The 2015 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru La Boudriotte has a reserved bouquet: Puligny-like in style with faint wet stone/granite aromas, later an unexpected note of licorice. The palate is clean and fresh on the entry, although here I am just missing some of the acidic drive of the les Macherelles, and it feels static towards the finish at the moment. Not bad, though I much prefer the killer 2014, which I would keep for long-term cellaring.
