The 2014 Irpinia Aglianico Terra d'Eclano is a darkly saturated red wine with an inky black appearance. The bouquet shows themes of darkness and density, although there is clear balance and finesse within all that exuberant abundance. You can definitely make out the details and the smaller nuances despite that impressive muscle and brawn. The finish is beautifully soft and round, and although the wine's tannic structure is intact, you don't feel any roughness or tightness. This wine sees fruit sourced from five separate vineyard sites across the Quintodecimo estate holdings. It ages in new barrique for 12 months. Some 14,566 bottles were produced.
