This dense purple-colored wine displays a delicious personality, from its no holds barred, uncomplicated, but intense, creamy, blackcurrant, cedar, and smoky-scented nose, to its deep, chewy, spicy, fleshy flavors. Fruit, glycerin, body, and tannin are the major components of this St.-Julien, which can be drunk young or cellared. Anticipated maturity: 2000-2012. It is another sleeper of the vintage.Proprietor Pradere makes fine wine from this estate, which consists essentially of old vine parcels that are vinified and aged separately from Pradere's other St.-Julien estate, Terrey-Gros-Cailloux.
