The estate's 2004 Barolo Gancia is made in a riper, more fruit-driven style. It is a fairly large-scaled wine for this producer, with generous dark red fruit, new leather, spices and sweet toasted oak. This medium to full-bodied Barolo should drink well over the next seven to eight years. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2016.
