The 2005 Barolo Vigna Gancia is another sweet, layered wine, with plenty of macerated cherries, plums, herbs, menthol and spices. This is a more detailed Barolo than the overt, fruit-driven Gallinotto, and it lacks some of that wine’s sheer ripeness and depth. Elements of greenness lurk in the background. 2010-2020.
This is a very pretty set of wines from Molino, a small, artisan producer based in La Morra who continues to make better and better wines with each passing vintage.
